I ordered practically every book on stair building you can imagine, looking for a simple step-by-step set of instructions. There were books with plenty of pictures and plenty of words, but the process definitely was far from simple.
That's when I got the bright idea to write my own book and see if I could simplify the process. I remembered how hard it was for me to learn how to build stairs and honestly felt like I could do a better job, than previous authors.
Vince Lombardi said it years ago, you've got to start with the fundamentals and that's what I'm going to do in this book. This was my biggest obstacle and once I finally understood the fundamentals of stair building, I could build practically any type of stairway.
In this book you will find plenty of pictures and you will find plenty of words, but they won't be pictures or words of things that don't apply to simple stair construction. I've put together a step-by-step set of instructions I honestly believe are easy to understand and follow.
Building a simple set of stairs isn't as difficult as you would imagine. With a little help from someone who knows what they're doing and a lot of pictures, along with a little bit of patience, I believe you can do it also.
