The video starts with Greg saying that if you live in an older home, you might have a two-foot-wide bathroom door. This is a common door size for older homes, but it can be a problem if you are a larger person. A 2 foot 4 inch door is a common door used today and has been for quite some time for most bathrooms.
So if you're planning on remodeling your bathroom or you're planning on building and designing a house, a 2 foot 4 inch wide door is an excellent door for a bathroom. If you get any wider than that, you know if your custom building a house and you're a large person you might even want to go with a bigger door.
But if you start to get into doors that are 32 or even 36 inches wide make sure that these doors are going to clear any bathroom fixtures, especially a toilet. So if you have a toilet near the door, you might want to make sure that the doors actually going to open up and not hit the toilet.
Again, a 24 inch wide door that's in older homes, if you can switch it out to a 28 inch wide door, it's not a big deal if it's not a problem with you. I made the video just to make a point to make people aware of door sizes for bathrooms older homes, a two foot door two foot four door in newer homes, and if you're planning on doing any remodeling new construction, consider putting a 2 foot 4 inch door in your bathroom.
