How To Make A Water Level For Less Than $10 Or At Least $50
This video demonstrates how to make a water level for less than ten dollars using clear plastic tubing and water.
Then it outlines the steps to create a water level using readily available materials:
Fill a clear plastic tube with water, ensuring no air bubbles remain.
Attach the tube to two points you want to level.
Mark the water level on both ends of the tube.
Measure the distance from the marks to the desired level.
Compare the measurements to determine if the two points are level.
The video also explains how to interpret the measurements to determine the slope between two points.
Bonus Tips
To ensure accuracy, submerge the tube ends in water to prevent air from entering.
Use a smooth board for accurate measurements.
Consider using a laser level for larger distances or more precise leveling.
Experiment with different tube lengths for various leveling projects.
